Nutrition with Science Program

The nutrition with science concentration (NS) requires 120 semester hours and includes 22 to 25 semester hours of electives.

This concentration promotes elective flexibility to support a variety of professional goals. The NS concentration is well suited for pre-professional programs in occupational therapy, physician assistant studies, physical therapy, dentistry, medicine, optometry, pharmacy, and veterinary medicine. Students in this concentration are also well prepared for graduate programs in nutrition and food science.

Students should consider minors in areas that complement their career goals. Suggested minors include biology, public health, business administration, psychology, or exercise and sport science.

Because there are few prerequisite requirements for the upper-level nutrition courses within this concentration, it is compatible for students who transfer from other programs or universities. Admission and retention for the Nutrition with Science concentration requires a 3.0 GPA.
